"I'm curious" Such simple words can lead to a whole new facet to the otherwise boring lifestyle of our protagonist Hyoutarou Oreki. Throughout this 22-episode slice-of-life mystery anime, Takemoto never ceases to push us to click "Next Episode." In many anime, side characters are, for the most part, cast aside or barely given the justice of a story that they deserve. However, Hyouka is different. Each member of the Classics Club has their own unique interests, adventures, passions, and flaws. Hyouka gives the most realistic representation of high school life (aside from the mystery, sort of) with each character struggling with how to go about life and theirinner emotions. The varying art styles offer a lot of inference to the underlying themes within each episode. The scenery, the sounds of nature, and the animation style really make Hyouka a must-watch slice of life anime.

Each episode presents a new challenge for the protagonists along with offering a realistic representation of the relationships friends can have because not everything in life is as good as one might want it to be and Hyouka does a fantastic job embodying the true lessons of life that are gained over time
