Review of High School of the Dead

- May Contain Spoiler - 1 day when you are having your thought of something and you suddenly see in front of you that someone just killed a guy. And you think it as some fight but what if after a while the guy just died, wakes up and starts to attack people around it for no reason and the ones who got attacked started to do the same thing. FREAKING isn't it..... Here, we have a pandemic situation, but what is it, its a disease? yes? no? who knows? or is it something else? but it changed some people into something else - "ZOMBIES". Yes,The anime is based on something which we have seen in movies and games but seeing it in anime it really changes the feeling. ZOMBIES - dead walking corpses with no intelligence, just reacting to some specific things like sound. or maybe there are more? who knows.
To be straight forward, I really liked this anime, it gives you the feeling of like you are kind of involved in all this situation which is happening here, I really enjoyed watching this anime (thinking myself one of them or with them).

Story - Story is about some school students who are suddenly got involved in a unknows situation and they don't know what is all this happening and how all this started. And now all of them are thrown in a desperate survival mode to save their lives while fighting all those people who are no longer alive (zombies) and finding a safe place, meeting known and new people on their journey.
hmmm Shizuka sensei, what is a goofball doing here? ;p

Art and Sound - the animation, art and sound are really good. especially i really like the sound, in each episode and in each situation the background music is really something. voice dubbing is also really good. and if I have to give an example of a sound "you can see the 2nd episode where Hirano shoots that nail gun where the sound of gun and nail hitting the zombie and background music of the whole scene is so good". And I think there's no need for an example for art and animation (;p)
but still if you want hmmm go watch Shizuka sensei in episode 6 ;)

Characters - all the characters here, especially Main all of them have some kind of past which they are trying to overcome in this situation as they are growing strong mentally and physically. All of them are interesting, hmm Shizuka sensei definitely interesting character...

Enjoyment - as per above, I really enjoyed anime, fan service which they tried to include wherever they can which I sometimes found funny and hmm Shizuka sensei definitely enjoyable being...

Overall Rating - I am going to give 8 as an overall rating because the animation, characters, background music and sound gave so much impact on each scene the anime was really fun to watch.

(And for last I know I should not be mentioning it here but i really loved this anime and want it to continue but unfortunately due to the death of the author, the manga is now in the discontinued state, but if possible i really like if another author picks up his work and continue it - just a good thought about anime, which is loved by so many people)
