Review of Fate/Zero

An excellent show that ticks almost all the boxes for me. The story is its weakest link, it feels nonsensical and random, seems to lack consistency. Some character interactions also feel uninteresting, unfortunately they also tend to drag for minutes. The art is quite stunning, one of the best anime series artworks I ever seen, if not the best, great detail, great animations, the characters feel quite unique without resorting to over the top hair styles and clothing. Soundtrack presence is always noticeable in a good way and sound effects are quite good. Most characters are interesting in their own way, with a few exceptions. I find Saber andIrisviel to be boring, and unfortunately to me they take a lot of screentime, but I guess its a question of preference.

The action is quite exceptional at times.
