This is an anime worth watching if you havent got anythign better to do for sure. That said, most aspects of the anime are just ordinary- Im not too shocked by the negative reviews. For example, the art is nothing special- not very detailed or special. But I really like the colors and the cleaness of it. The music and sound isnt anything to rave about, but I really love the unforgetable begining and ending theme songs. The characters are typical, ordinary anime characters- the shy, big-boobs girl, the cute and naive little girl, the average but somewhat troubled girl, the curiousprotagonist boy.
The plot in itself of this story is the anime's saving grace because it is unique; however, it leaves a lot of questions unanswered. There werent too many annoying underlying romances like I had expected, although there is certainly some pervy parts.
Overall, I definitley ended up liking Popotan a LOT. Its a unique story of friendships, once you get past the stereotypical anime characters and the naked boob shots.
