Review of Akira

This review is spoiler-free! - Story: 8 - Art: 6 - Sound: 9 - Character: 6 -Enjoyment: 9 - Overall: 7 The movie was great. The story is really in-depth, you need to watch twice to really understand whats going on. It definitely fits right into the neo-noir genre.The animation was revolutionary for the date of release, nowadays it is lacking smoothness. Although the animation was lacking the artwork was amazing. The city/tokio/neo noir style was well done. Also the motorcycle is well designed!

The music and sounds were amazing! The music fitted great with the scenes and sure does make some scenes even creepier.

The characters lacked depth and they act unnatural in some situations. I did like their appearance because it fitted with their role and the environment.

I enjoyed the story because it was very gripping and unpredictable. It was mysterious and in-depth. I advise you to watch the movie twice to really understand because it is a bit hard to keep up sometimes.
