Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion
I'm going to keep this brief, because I shouldn't even have to explain why this is as good as I say it is. Evangelion is the best series of shows and movies that I personally have seen so far, and it means so much to me that I doubt anything will top it in the near future. There might be spoilers. Story: The story is definitely the best aspect of the show, because of how deep and enjoyable to read into it is. I enjoy the fact that there is so much to take in when it comes to the background of this show. Ifyou enjoy films like Star Wars, the MCU, etc. I would recommend giving this show a chance, as it has the same structure for its story, and its great for nerds like me.
Art: It came out in 1995 so obviously the art wont hold up against some of what the modern day has to offer. Luckily for Evangelion, I have a soft spot for 90's anime art styles, and love the somewhat terrible looking animation. However, for an action anime, there is no CGI (as far as I remember feel free to correct me). I wouldn't stay the art is a 10/10, but considering the time period, 9/10 works for me.
Sound: I like sound design, it is important to create a realistic environment. I don't think there is a lot to say here, this is another category that is largely impacted by the time period. It is still very good, but it isn't perfect. Not much else to say.
Characters: Best characters in any anime I've ever seen. I understand the feelings of every single character in the show and they all have a unique struggle, which end up saying a lot about life. If you have problems with identity I would recommend this show, it made me really think about who I am. I personally love Asuka, I relate to her the most of any character. She has often expresses how she has always had to do things by herself, and gets upset when she incapable of working by herself. I definitely have that same issue, and this just brought me closer to this series.
Enjoyment: This show is great. Enough said.
Overall: 10/10
