Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion

NGE is hands down the best anime series out there. The execution of introducing characters is flawless, while also creating a sense of unease after being thrown into this dystopian future covered with deadly angels and secret organizations that nobody can trust. Straight from episode one, I was invested in learning more about NERV and the angels. Asuka is such a well-developed character, and especially Rei. The cast and aesthetics are beautiful, this series left me contemplating the meaning of my own life and to what extent I criticize myself and others. This series left me with a deeper connection to the different versions ofmyself in the minds of others as well.
