After having watched Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance and been delighted with such amaizing movie with so little to actual complain about and waiting to see this secuel, i fear to say that just didn´t live up (not to my expectation but) to the same quality that delivered the previous installments excepting the animation aspect which was the only thing that keeped the same. As always just an brief review of the movie and my overalls thoughs of it to those interested to know an general overview before seeing it. I have undertand from what i could read in the internet (after finished the movie) aboutthe production of the movie, that this one had problems and it might be the reason that influenciate not only the pace but how off was based in the previous that we could watch in the ending of Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, almost nothing that was shown there actually appeared in this movie and those one or two that did were just mentioned and showed in mere planes of a couple of seconds skipping all the events.
I even could go so far like you couldn´t even undertand many things about the movie if it wasn´t for the previous, all this carries to my main point and problem with this one and its that although the firts and second movie still maintained the same amount of complexity in argument, characters and everything that made evangelion what it is, i felt that in this new interpretation of the series i could feel an sense of an more structurated and better (in my opinon) direction in the overall story (like i mentioned in my previous reviews), but this third installment just lost that and felt so much (i dont want to call it confusing) messed up and just plain bad directed lacking of the cohesion and continuity, since the moment we start watching the movie until the end we found us tangle in something that let us puzzled in an general really dull and poor narration in all the areas.

The sound aspect didn´t stand out in anyhting in comparation with the previous one that had an amazing ost, i cant remember a single piece that i could recall being memorable or beautiful.
Animation wise i think is the only thing that remained the same and looks stunning, the colors, the enviroments the fluidity in each secuence are just eye-candy.

I feel that indepently of the circunstances in which was under this movie i think that was wasted so much, sadly this one moves on in a way that wasn´t at all satisfaying and in a way contradictory to the events that acurred before. Still there is left one last movie with an duration of almost three hours hoping that with that amount of duration doesn´t rush anyhting and give an proper closing to each characters (because is the main reason that movies doens´t do well trying to fit all in very short time) , sadly what its done cant be repair (at least in most of the cases when we talk about anime) and just have to keep moving to see how its end in the last one hoping to see something better than this one.

RESUME

In few words all the hype to those like me wanting to know how continued in this third installment after such good two movies , we face with an dissapointing reality were we realize that didn´t make justice the cast and plot that so far we experienced, even if you do nt want to watch it its necessary for know the future events that are gonna take place in the next movie, so is an must if you want to see how is it closed this series of fourth movies.
Hoping that Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time results an good movie and gaves me the same experiece Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance.
