Review of Fairy Tail

Fairy Tail is the kind of show you need to understand WHY you watch anime before you start it. If you're interested in shows with action and good fight scenes: enjoy! Slapstick, exaggerated comedy? You're in luck. Deep characters with interesting backstories that you can relate to? Well... that depends wildly on the character. Interesting original plots? Boy those fight scenes sure are good, huh?! This show suffers from a somewhat more mild case what I call "Bleach-itis": A good 3, maybe 4 season show that is kept alive on a steady IV stream of filler arcs that serve very little to move the actual overallplot forward.
