Review of Sword Art Online

This was a huge thing for a reason, and that was the concept alone. The concept is beautiful, probably the best Iv`e ever seen next to Shingeki no Kyojin. But the great concept and all is downgrades because of the main character, Kirito. The art was very unique and fit the anime very well. I loved the author`s style. But my problem was the fanservice. Every popular anime has to have fanservice. But this one i especially didn't like. Characters were fine except for the except of the main protagonist. He is the most cliched of all anime characters I have ever seen in anime andhas literally no special traits about him whatsoever. I hate him with a passion. Nest to Takashi Komuro, he is the worst. The other characters were all extremely good. I loved all of them especially Asuna, up until the part when she and Kirito get together. She becomes almost a clone of him showing nothing the damsel in distress trait.

The music involving the intros and endings are actually pretty mediocre to me. I found nothing special about them. The usual crap pop that Japan produces.I honestly believe that Klain should`ve been the main character.

Then there's the deal with the sister love concept. Even though the anime said that they weren't really related, i still found it extremely awkward to continue the show after that. i hated that part of the anime the most. Then when Asuna was captured and Sexually harassed I didn't like either. Not that its unrealistic or something its just that part with the tentacles that made me cringe.

I hate romance in anime unless its well played out and in this anime it was played out like a harem anime which I hate the most.

Overall its a great concept that is degraded because of its terrible main character, romance and fanservice.

I honestly believe that it is definitely an anime to watch just for that great video game Concept
