Review of Solo Leveling Season 2: Arise from the Shadow

Is the story lacking depth? Yes. Are side characters let aside? Yes. But was it still enjoyable? Yes, of course. Lots of negative reviews mention these two point: story depths and character development as "empty" or even "bad". But why would this be the only criteria for a good anime? For some (like me) a good anime is one I enjoyed watching which solo leveling absolutely did. Solo leveling basically is a badass dude making badass things, nothing too fancy. Sometimes you don't want to mess with complexes things, you just want to relax and see cool stuff. That's why I'm giving solo leveling the maximumnote: even though it's simple, it's one of the anime I had the most fun watching.

Yes, it's not for everyone and yes, if what you like is mostly plot don't even bother watching solo leveling.
