Whew, that was a real disappointment. Whereby this is not only the fault of the anime alone, when there are descriptions everywhere like "One day, however, he was lured into a trap that the king of men had set for him." I don't know why everywhere they talk about "One day, however, he was lured into a trap that the king of the humans had set for him" or similar, because the anime really goes in a COMPLETELY different direction. A proper description would be something like "The hero, who ended a long war between humans, demons, and beastmen, suddenly disappears shortly after peace is made. While his friends are desperately searching for him, they don't know that a former comrade went insane and he sent him back to their world (by mistake?). Until one day, by chance, a new magic circle appears and, of all things, the class this hero attends is summoned. Once again, the world is on the brink of war, and the hero, now named Setsu, tries with old comrades to preserve the peace they themselves created five years ago."

Nothing about betrayal, nothing about revenge, nothing about Setsu standing up to the humans or whatever you might expect when you hear something like "One day, however, he was lured into a trap set for him by the king of the humans."
However, going away from the point that somehow the description doesn't match the anime, this is just a story to fall asleep to. While it starts off strong and shows charm - old friends reunite, characters are arrogant towards the heroes and get punched on the nose etc.. - and accordingly you really have hope that this is going to be an interesting story, how Setsu uncovers why he was kicked out of the world back then or how he explores the world, maybe he takes revenge on old enemies, rescues and surprises old friends, how he travels telling how he became a hero or all the other interesting ideas that could have been made out of the 'second time summoned' concept, here we get the story of a tortured soul who was cursed and wants to destroy the world. Now this could be fun or exciting, even though I don't understand why Setsu needs to be in the world for the second time for this, but the further the series progresses, the more you realize that it can't tell this story well either. Hours of unnecessary flashbacks, some of which are even repetitive, stupid conversations with lots of still images, which of course also go on forever, logic gaps without end, especially in the main plot of the story, just to name a few things.

There was also something wrong with the sound design. There were situations where the music was overdriven - I didn't watch the series alone and I wasn't the only one with this problem.

It probably shouldn't surprise anyone that I only watched the series on the side at the end. Still 2 out of 10 Summons, because at least the first two episodes were still very promising.
