It's been awhile since I watched something and realized, "oh shit, it's 2:30 in the morning and I got one episode left" and even though it's got a few predictable moments, and over used tropes, it plays on them well and keeps it entertaining without making you feel like you've seen it a thousand times. The world building isn't the best but; the animation, story telling, music, characters, and voice actors (subbed), have all been done quite well to say the least. For the most part, characters act in realistic ways to the situation before them. The animation clearlyhad passionate artists working on it, it feels like making the battle scenes entertaining and seamless is often something done half-heartedly nowadays especially with fantasy themed anime. I can happily say that is not the case here.

Overall I would recommend this to anyone of any gender or age. 8/10 through and through.
