Tonight, Only Just For You · review
From the summary you would assume that this is hentai with mystery elements but from what I saw it was more towards humor with the occult and spirits as minor plot. This season is more for introducing the characters instead of advancing the plot. Any developments would most probably happen in the sequel, Ayane: Anata Dake Konbanwa, though I'm not expecting anything epic from the story. This is hentai so the main focus is sex & any story throw in is just another plot device for them to have more sex. Animation is incredibly mediocre but the good thing is that it doesn't look bad inany way either. Though there was one sex scene where they reused the same movements a bit too much. The music used was average too. They were well timed & not too distracting during sex scenes but not memorable as a whole.
The main focus on the characters for this season is more on Yoko & the Mizuchi sisters though Ayane & Reiko were introduced too. Again, since this is hentai more time is spent on having sex with the heroines instead of getting to know them better.
I find that the direction was quite poorly executed. There were many times where the characters were never shown finishing the deed and jumps straight to the next scene. During those scenes itself they tend to focus on other characters a little too much instead of those doing it. Next, using comic relief at the same time as some of the sex scenes just left me feeling more put off instead of being aroused. Bad directing aside, the scenes themselves when shown without lame jokes are still satisfying enough.
Overall, don't expect anything much from the story or the series itself. This is a show worth considering if you want an average lighthearted hentai without anything hardcore to pass the time. If you're looking for something with a little more substance then look elsewhere as the mediocrity of it might disappoint you.
