Review of Hunter x Hunter

You're wondering whether you should invest your time watching this anime. The short answer is you probably shouldn't, you should be out conquering the real world, but if you got some time to spare you would do well to watch this series. It looks like it's made for little kids on first glance, it's almost as naive as Dragonball and the premise sounds strange. Yet, it has a surprising level of depth and is well written. Unlike DBZ where you wait for power ups and growls, this story progresses realistically, without being too serious. You can take what you want out ofthis series, whether you want action, drama, sci fi, you name it, it's in there. And it's all done very well, without the cheesy plots you'd half expect.

Subtract the art and sound and you've got an anime that is better than most animes, and the art and sound grow on you after a while.
