An emotional story that explores complicated ethics, moral greys, and messy conflicts. Art: 8, very pretty Character: 8, well written and multifaceted Enjoyment: 8, a good tearjerker Story: While not perfect by any means (even for an omegaverse manga), this story tackled conflicts in a very interesting, almost refreshing way. Characters will do bad things, but not always for bad reasons; people are constrained by circumstance, instinct, feelings, and victimization. There's an intertwining of victimhood and crime in nearly every conflict, so no one is fully innocent but no one is purely antagonistic. The subtle build up before the sudden and powerful twist is immensely satisfying. The elaboration of everyone'sfeelings and motives are very intriguing. I found the main antagonist a little formulaic and the ending a bit weak, but the final romance is (while a little forced in my opinion) passionate and moving. Overall it was a worthwhile read.
