Fushi no Kami: Rebuilding Civilization Starts with a Village · review
When I read this novel, I was expecting this to be ranked on the 100 light novels of all time. I was surprised to find this to be a hidden gem because I wholeheartedly believe this is one of the best light novels out there. This basically is an isekai without any of the tropes you'd normally find. The main character that feels like an actual human. The side characters aren't NPCs with one single character trait. The world would be enjoyable to read about even if the main character did not exist in it. Everything that occurs within the light novel makes sense anddoesn't seem forced to make the "plot" move forward. I say "plot" in quotation marks because the story doesn't follow a straight path like many other stories. The characters just do their own kind of thing while trying to achieve their goals. Overall I'd just highly recommend this light novel to anyone who is sick of seeing the same story and characters over and over again.
