Spoiler warning

This review may discuss plot details.

The OVA’s first episode takes place 2 months before Chise goes to college, but other than maybe 2 minutes of dialogue, this is not more than set-dressing. The OVA follows a boy named Gabe who just moved to the British countryside because of his health concerns. His mother works at the hospital in London, and his dad seems to be a stay-at-home dad for the time being. Gabriel has asthma and is prone to sickness. Chise reflects this as well because when the OVA begins, she gets sick almost immediately. Without spoiling the plot, I think this is a really good OVA. Better than theGiven OVA by far (because that’s just the movie with fewer scenes lol). There’s a scene in the last episode where Elias does some actual magic that isn’t changing form and I really liked getting to see that development. The art looks even better than it used to. The dinner scene between Gabriel and Silky was SUPER cute. I’m giving this OVA an 8 (Very Good).
