8.1/10 Somehow… this manga isn’t trash? In fact, it’s honestly pretty good. I don’t know how this manga did it but it combined a lot of cliche tropes and premise like the teacher, kicked out, demon princesses premises, and it made it really entertaining. I don’t know how much of an old head I’m being by mentioning “Akashic Records,” but this manga is basically “Akashic Records” if it was written in an era where mangakas love spamming successful but unoriginal tropes. Though, that isn’t a knack to the story, as it’s pretty well-written without any of the tropes being overpowering. The plot honestly doesn’t look promisinginitially due to the cliche set-up of an overpowered mc harem, but most of the plot points are well-developed and were given proper time to flesh out each set-up. Thi also comes with some fanservice, which I usually would be opposed to, as it adds little to nothing to a story, but the manga utilizes fanservice really well by incorporating character introduction or development with it while adding in some hilarious moments.

Some of the characters are well-developed, while some others are rough around the edges. What I mean by this is that out of the five heroines, the story could operate just as fine , if not better, if the author decided to remove two of them. Yes, I know they will eventually get there proper development and introspection, but there are honestly too many characters, making it a bit hard sometimes to keep track of each one (this especially applies since the artwork of two of them are eerily similar).

Though there are certainly some flaws in character and plot points, the manga is just fun to read. There’s enough comedy in the fanservice, but it also knows how and when to get serious enough to develop characters like the heroines and even the mc, which is uncommon nowadays for the harem genre.

If you don’t mind overpowered harem stories, certainly give this a shot.
