The boy reunites with his childhood female friend, but she turns out to be a human eater? "Have my blood, please." The manga introduces Ren Azami, who would be commemorating the day his childhood friend Miu Kureha 'died.' However, things took a turn for the worse when a vampire-like girl named Persephonia attacked him, but a girl miraculously saved him. It turned out that she was none other than his childhood friend, Miu, who also turned into Persephonia. Not wanting to be separated anymore despite Persephonia's nature—eating human flesh—Ren allows Miu to suck his blood and lets her live in his apartment alongside Ren's sister Hiyori. Story: Persephoniais your typical osananajimi trope with the FL being "No Longer Human." However, there will be a little bit of a twist in further chapters that will determine whether people will drop or continue reading.

Art:
The mangaka Shirube Hisakata, formerly known for their prior work FOOLPROOF, executes well with both the character design and coloring. Though Miu and Ren are clones of the lead FOOLPROOF couple, they both remain eye-catching and memorable.

Overall, Persephonia is an enjoyable manga to read, and let's hope the English scanlations will arrive soon.
