After the rather emotional roller-coaster that both Eureka Seven and Eureka Seven AO take you on, it is beyond great that there is a lighthearted installment to the 'franchise.' While I feel that bringing in the childlike Otaku'ness' of Elena it's mostly just an excuse to bring Eureka's "character design" back/dress Ao up in Eureka's clothes, there is a very brief reference to Soul Eater in there as well. It was nice to see a carefree situation where my favorite characters could actually enjoy themselves for once. Was it entirely necessary? Not at all; though I am quite satisfied with the results. ~ ♥
