Review of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.
A hidden gem! One of my favorite animes, for sure! The series is a smartly written comedy with typical Japanese over-the-top humor, body gags, and some occasional fourth wall break. Each episode is a different snippet of our protagonist Saiki K's disastrous life as a psychic. Each episode is creative and fun while managing to flesh out the characters nicely and allows us to develop sympathy and affection for them. The characters are not complex but have their own personality, and they still develop much better than Naruto's characters ever manage to do in its 600 episode run. As the show progresses, you will loveeach and every of them, I swear.
There is nothing spectacular about the art, sound or visuals, but given that this is a comedy, we don't really need those to become fully immersed. The animation is pretty good as far as I can remember.
Watch this show whenever you are feeling down or bored and you will thank me for it.
