Review of Attack on Titan Season 3
I feel like this season/arc, along with its opening, is underrated and underappreciated. As for me, I think it's the best in the series. Really, the opening sets a lot of the tone and really matches what's going on story-wise. And this season's tone and sense of mystery is very compelling, and I love how Erwin's question about who the real enemy is in season 1 is finally being addressed in a coherent way. It's kind of ironic how the main draw of the show (titans) are largely absent here and it's probably why this season is my favorite. In addition to the story andcharacters being the most compelling they've been, this season has arguably one of the best (if not the best) action scenes with Levi. And the spoilers within the credits amazingly foreshadow some hard times ahead. Overall, very enjoyable.
