Review of Black Clover
Well, let's see, black clover is really awesome also I love all the op's of it. I'm a great fan. There is the protagonist (asta) who no matter what fate throws at him, he always find a way to get back up. The rivalry between asta and the 2nd protagonist (yuno) is unlike other rivalries I've seen so far, they both aspire to be the wizard king, the latter inspired by the former. Asta and yuno are entirely opposite, asta: the no magic, demonic and unstable idiot and yuno: the smart, cool powerful magic user. The storyline is made in such a way that makesyou try to anticipate what's going to happen next and the feeling that the next episode should be released the next day. The factions/realms are the way they should be; the royals/nobles: powerful but overconfident, easy life, lazy brats, the commoners: the average magic users, and the peasants: lowest of all, tough life but never relenting (well that is true for some). The villains too are the kind of characters you'd expect; the ones who give the protagonists a very hard time. The development of the third protagonist is good too. Noelle's a royal who despite that is finding life hard but with encouragements form her team, notably asta, is rising to the top. The harem is pretty funny and good. There's noelle who can't admit her feelings, mimosa who's always blushing but when it's time to be serious, she becomes alert, Sally the crazy scientist and rebecca, the restaurant girl, all of them crushing on the idiotic asta who still doesn't get what is going on despite all the signs and for yuno, it's kind of awkward, he's 16 but has an ageless spirit and a 19 yr old charmy crushing on him. But what I don't like about black clover is asta's more than often claim to become the wizard king and the declaration of the rivalry between asta and yuno, it is getting too much. Also people say he(asta) shouts too much which I find true, he's a kid though but he is growing up, so that needs to be resolved. The fillers are little to none, though lately they've begun to use fillers that are not necessary which is annoying. And unfortunately when it comes to being emotional, like hitting people's soft people, black clover is terrible at that. It was only when I read the manga where luck's reincarnation was broken that I found something heartwarming and in episode 95 where the elves were killed, something heartbreaking. Other than that, it's either mostly action (the action is great, don't get me wrong) or stating friendship is important (it's true though, but it's getting out of hand) or unnecessary whining (e.g seeing an opponent and saying something like "so this is the power of ...). The characters development also need working too, they need to be clear and logical. Overall I give black clover 8/10. I look forward to the improvements.
