Review of The Ancient Magus' Bride Season 2
Maybe it's just because it had a strong second half, but I really enjoyed this season. Unlike the first season, it's a bit more streamlined in terms of keeping to plot in one place. In the first season, you had a lot of short stories that grew the characters, but didn't always relate strongly. In this one, it focuses on the collage and the students, with all the plots weaving together nicely. I know some complained about focuing too much on the side characters, but I felt they were all done well. I liked how they all had a fleshed out story/background with relatable issues. Ialso like how the students interact with each other in different ways, and they all feel unique and fleshed out.
The story this time is more interesting as well in my opinion. Maybe it was due to re-watching the first season that removed some of the suspense from it, but I felt more compelled to watch the next episode to see what happened next here. I'm looking forward to now watching the second part, so hopefully it doesn't disappoint!
