This is my first review ever, and the first anime I ever watched. When I was a kid it really fascinated me and left a huge impression. Unlike all the other movies it held meaning. There was a serious subject being told in an image of a cartoon. The movie is quite old and the art is not top notch (which is why I gave it a 6), but it fascinated the eight-year-old me, giving me a very unique fantasy world. All Hayao Miyazaki works I have watched have very interesting settings with distinctive characters. What touched me a lot was Nausicaä's personality and howshe was different from everything I saw. In a couple of years, I remembered that and wondered if I actually watched it. Identifying it as an anime I spent two hours on finding the title. After watching it again, I could experience all these things again. It definitely didn't disappoint me. That's how I started watching anime. Since nowadays only a small amount of people watches 'old anime', I would recommend it to beginners. Kaze no Tani no Nausicaä seems innocent and for kids but it carries a very deep meaning and even mentions discrimination and environmental issues.
