Review of Samurai Champloo

We love samurai champloo! Honestly, rap / hip-hop culture really goes hand-in-hand with samurai culture in a weird but wonderful way. Both grungy and realistic, this series is like a Japanese-style old western. This one is set in the edo era, and is fairly historically accurate as far as I know. I debated on giving this less stars, because there isn't a ton going on for side characters and *surprise* the women in this series. However, the soundtrack and artistic take alone are so powerful it really makes up for it. And the series is heavily focused on the main character so I can forgiveit for its neglect of others.
