Although it has an interesting premise, I’ve started to think that it’s actually a mediocre anime. Some of the side characters are more compelling than the main character. For example, Enjin is far more interesting, and honestly, I kept watching mainly because of him. It also felt like the creators weren’t entirely sure how to continue the story. The biggest reason for this, in my opinion, is that the likely main antagonist is unbelievably ordinary and bland. Even Jabbar feels more intriguing by comparison. Also (not a spoiler), but I wouldn’t be lying if I said that episode 13 genuinely sent chills down my spine.
