5.7/10 Minor plot spoiler Oh God, the edge is just seeping through the screen. I can’t take any more of this manga since the story is your usual “nobility vs commoner” powertrip where the mc has his “cool” moments constantly, proving the nobles wrong. Don’t believe me? Well, the mc is portrayed as smart, powerful, etc, so the author has to prove it somehow. How about walking directly in front of an opponent, declaring your name in a cringe manner, and then attacking him instead of … you know, surprise attacking him? Putting the mc aside since his edginess is one thing, the side characters arejust … there? The heroines are pretty boring, and they are inserted into the story without much explanations — actually, this doesn’t strictly apply to the heroines since barely anything is explained about any character’s origins or the background of the actual plot. This also wasn’t done in a good way of “slowly revealing” or “mystery”; instead, it left a hollow read with nothing but cringe.
If you love power-trips and an edgy mc that faces no difficulties, then this is certainly something to add into the collection. I, however, enjoy my sanity.
