Kissing the Flower in Bloom · review
Hana to Kuchizuke is a great romance book but not a good age-gap book. Chapter 1 itself is flawed, rushed and despite the refreshing artstyle and scenes, it lacks a certain depth that I could not top thinking about till the end. Ignoring my morality, logic and reasoning, it was fine. The further chapters were one of the most wholesome relationship I have seen in mangas, maybe it is because of the fl's naively bold nature whereby confrontation comes naturally to her or the ml's ability to always maintanin a clear head, I cannot tell you but they do suit each other in a way that theymake up for each other where one lacks. They had me screaming, giggling, blushing and cuddling my blanket- I loved that there was no unnecessarily dragged out drama or misunderstanding.
The characters were gorgeous, especially the side characters. Touma reminded me of 707 from Mystic Messenger for some reason and I could not stop calling him Seven throughout the manga.
