It's impossible to find animes that can portrays the cruelty of post-fordist world. I can't imagine who those people felt about the new millennium fall over his shoulders, having lived those massacres and social progressive, what crazy things will arrives the new world... definitely won't be flying cars, but the depression of a world even more accelerated. Fukuyama says there's no more history, partly he's right, I'm not fully sure about his politc and economic reasoning but yeah, every hope will just become old memories and nostalgia, like the sentiment this anime produced. good soundtrack btw, even now I think about the post-apocaliptic melodies of a distortion guitarcrying of junk and vanishing hopes.
