If you're into Japanese history or love samurais, then you'll love Revenger, there are too many references of Nagasaki history (place involved in anime) to a point it feels you're watching an animated Japanese history documentary. If you like samurais, Japanese history, amazing plot, amazing animation, great scenes then you will definitely love this anime. I would say Revenger, Dororo, Blade of the immortal are my top 3 favorite anime in this genre. Revenger being the most real life based and no fiction, super powers or immorality stuff involved. Don't bother with the poor rating, as i said if you like Japanese history or samuraisyou'll absolutely love this Anime.
