Story & Setting It is a solid donghua so far. While the first two seasons did not do the series justice, the third season is performing really well. It isn't a typical cultivation donghua; the story provides a very mysterious vibe. The world-building is strikingly beautiful and fits the story perfectly. Characterization Characters are well-rounded and maintain a sense of mystery. MC is strong and smart, which is a major highlight of this donghua. The story also incorporates a great sense of humor through the dragon character who stays close to Chen Nan. Animation This is the strongest aspect of this donghua. The third season starts with a visually strikingfight; the action scenes are superb and well-choreographed.

I personally really enjoy this season, both for the characters and the evolving story.
