7.4/10 Oddly enough, I thought this manga was absolute trash from the initial two chapters, but with every passing chapter, it has grown on me even more and more. Let’s get it out the way; the premise of this manga is quite unique and entertaining, but the execution was mediocre to poor at times. Despite the poor execution from the long and drawn-out jokes, they are still hilarious, and the plot isn’t actually bad — well, at least not as bad as it was initially. The plot seemed one-dimensional from the premise alone; however, this was all a rouse, since besides for the occasional poor pacingin plot points, there’s a significant amount of development in a some-what short to well-managed pace. To add to that, there are more plot points added by the chapter to stem off humorous jokes and depth for the story.

Initially, the characters rubbed me the wrong way, especially the mc, from their inconsistencies and lack of serious approach in their archetypes; however, they undergo a decent amount of explanations and development, albeit fast, and they are absolutely hilarious.

A rather darker twist on the whole demon-lord and hero romance story that becomes wholesome in a mere chapter or two; this could be called bad pacing and development, which is totally understandable, but the character dynamic is so entertaining that it doesn’t matter much at all.
