2.0/10 This manga, unfortunately, takes wish-fulfillment to an extreme level, plunging into a gaslighting narrative that only a sadistic person could find enjoyment in. The initial premise of a childhood friend's ex and a sudden glow-up might catch your interest, but it quickly devolves into a monotonous loop of "The main character is perfect, and the childhood friend is despicable." The plot, once promising, becomes bare and dry, with minimal development beyond the initial setup. Each chapter follows the same predictable formula, making the storyline tedious and unengaging. The characters are disappointingly one-dimensional, filled with shallow, self-inserted additions that contribute little to any meaningful plot or characterdevelopment.
Beyond the manipulative ex-girlfriend angle, this manga fails to distinguish itself from the multitude of similar glow-up stories and, if anything, falls a tier below. The gaslighting theme further taints the narrative, making it an unpleasant read that lacks depth and originality.
