This series up until the ending was very enjoyable, I really got invested into the story, I loved the world and the characters and couldn't wait to read more. However the ending took away all enjoyment I had for this series. It was rushed, messy, incomplete and left me asking "Was that it?!" Without going into spoilers too much, no character got a meaningful resolution to their story. Many characters were forgotten about or dealt with off page. The only two who got some kind of conclusion were Han and Silence but again this fell flat, all the build up we had between these characters was seeminglyforgotten for some reunion that whilst predictable was nonsense.
The blame for this ending cannot lie solely with the webcomic adaptation as the Light Novel source material also had this problem.
However the author of the webcomic had at times already added chapters that were not present in the LN and added greater depth to certain characters like Dimitri, so I see no reason as to why they couldn't have done the same for the ending.
Another 15-20 chapters could've allowed for a much more satisfying conclusion and would allowed time to fully develop some of the new last minute plot points and helped make it all feel less rushed, more complete and allow all the characters a proper ending.
In conclusion the ending sucks, don't waste your time with this, go and read something else.
