Review of Devilman: Crybaby

If you held a gun up to my head and told me to rewatch the show, I would tell you to shoot me. This show is so overrated. After my friends and nearly every Youtuber praised this show like it was a masterpiece, I had to start it. Now I regret even adding it onto my list now. This show is so bad that I’ve even posted my first review ever just to express how much I dislike this show. Story: Not much here. There really is no story since it feels like everything is jumbled. Art: Looks like it was made in MS Paint Sound: I actually enjoyedthe OST and thought it was really good. Definitely top 10. On a side note, the English dub was horrendous and it felt like the voice acting was so stiff. It’s like they just threw the script into google translate and just went with that instead of changing it to have more flow if that’s the right word to use here.

Character: The show just throws the characters at you. They don’t put in any effort to correctly give them depth or develop them.

Enjoyment: Fight scenes were barely acceptable. The OST really carries this category.

Overall: Show COULD HAVE been good. Over hyped. I shouldn’t have been patient and waited for the show to got good. Should’ve dropped after 2 episode. The music was the best thing that came out of this show. The ending also sucked. I would compare it to Darling in the Fraxxx’s ending but worse.
