Review of The Wind Rises
The movie is so good because of the great character building and how they act, what they want to achieve, and how their goals drive the story. I really like when Ghibli sets their stories in historically accurate settings. I also appreciate how they talk about World War I and World War II — because studios like Ghibli can give a deeper understanding of people chance because of war. I really recommend this movie. To be honest, I don’t understand why it isn’t as popular as other Ghibli films — maybe it’s because of the more mature nature of the story? or I am just a little delulu andmany people like it.
I also love the dream sequences and the overall atmosphere.
The movie just feels a certain way when I watch it — and I feel deeply connected to it, in a weird but meaningful way.
