Review of No Game, No Life: Zero
The original No Game No Life was an overwhelming mess carried entirely by it interesting premise and well-written leads. Now imagine if those two aspects were just completely removed. That's what No Game No Life: Zero is. This movie failed to understand what made the series even bearable, whilst keeping everything that kept the series from being worthwhile. The art style in No Game No Life is just awful. It's one of things I hated about the series, but with the dark lighting in the movie it just makes it so much worse. At least there were cool sequences in the series - those aren't present here. The only thing that would be less pleasant than watching this movie would be sliding a string through one pupil and out the other, which I guess makes this film look better than Kill la Kill.
I don't have much to say about anything else, because the art ruins the viewing experience so much that I'd honestly say that no matter how interesting this seems to you, it isn't worth it. Eat some moldy spaghetti instead. Would not recommend.
