Review of Black Clover

From the weakest to the strongest point in Black Clover (No spoilers) Asta's Scream You have to endure the first 18 or so episodes of the protagonist making an unbearable scream in every single sentence. Characters personalities If the author told me by the end of the series that all of the characters were cursed and their personalities have changed to an annoying, repetitive joke, it would be the best plot twist ever. After watching Black Clover, any character with at least 2 normal sentences will strike you as a well-written character. Even in important moments this ""funny"" trait make presence. Favorite characters are Dorothy, Nacht and Mereoleona(Yes, some of them are good characters)

Animation
Almost all episodes have bad animation, about 4 or 5 episodes have very good animation during the whole episode. The good thing is that those episodes are the important ones with important fights. It's the usual, weird faces and weird movements, there's a unique bad animation, the smoke and laser effects are done with CGI, it looks like a free to use video pasted on top of the episode.

Filler, Anime Canon, Summary episodes
There are 21 Anime canon episodes, 18 filler episodes, 7 mix filler/canon episodes. The problem with these episodes, more than the fact that they shouldn't be in the story, is that they are in the worst possible placement. Is anyone going to reveal anything important? Never mind let's see this recap and also a memory lane of a non-important event from the past.

Story
The world of Black Clover has a lot of potential, having a world full of magic, where the countries which have the name of each of the suits of the deck are in a monarchy. Almost every arc has the same structure, where it starts with a weak plot and ends with a major plot, so you'll never know if it's a slow or filler episode or just the beginning of a new arc. It also has all the Shounen tropes you can think of, all of the good and bad, the protagonist has a unique power, the protagonist has a “monster inside” him, all the extras despite having a high rank are weak at important moments, for some reason our main protagonist and friends are doing the most important missions, oblivious to love male protagonist, the power system doesn't matter too much, never give up message, friends are important message, etc. One good (or bad?) thing is that it has zero to no fanservice moments. And one interesting thing is that if you find plot holes they don't explain it to you in an obvious way, but they show it 10 episodes later and you can find out why it wasn't a plot hole, this doesn't happen all the time but it has happened to me a couple of times.

Character Design
Black Clover has one of the most unique anime faces, especially the eyes, if you cut out the eyes of 1000 different anime characters Black Clover's would be one of the easiest to recognize. Its just a very good design nothing much to say.

Openings and Endings
The openings are top notch, having some of the best visual effects and songs anyone will ever hear/see. The endings are more carried by the songs, but some of them have a great animation sequences. I would say all the openings are more than "good" and almost all the endings are "good". I'm more of a Opening 5 and Ending 10v2, but everyone knows how good Opening 10 and the last ending are.

Fights
The peak of Black Clover are its fights, especially the important ones, they have a “great” animation, and after having 15 badly animated episodes before, you feel blessed by the well done animation, the choreographs of the fights are also great, you can feel the speed, the power, the struggle, you can understand the movements and they feel natural. One remarkable features are how they animated flying, seems unique and different to any other flying. This obviously doesn't apply to every fight. Some of them have a little thinking into the fight, some other is just going forward full throttle.
