Review of Terra Formars

Disclaimer: Minor spoilers possible,I'm lying there's nothin' to spoil. Transformers is a show about giant robots who turn into cars fighting each other. Sounds awesome doesn't it? Well it is,excluding the movies. Unfortunately we'll be reviewing Terra Formars instead, an awkwardly named anime about bug men,and women we don't discriminate who gets their spine ripped off, fighting space roaches from Mars. Story. Premise is pretty much the extent of this story. If we include the annoying flashbacks that added little to nothing, except in this one German characters case. No need to really keep on this subject here's a two because why not. Art. Ah now we are getting to the goodbits. Well not good in the ,, I creamed my pants,, manner but in a ,,thank god it's this type of bland animation,,. Animation used here is the one I can tolerate even tho it's overused and murky. Of course it's not taking any prizes on beauty contests and if it were a human I'd need a bag to fuck it but here's a 6. If you are wondering why then my explanation is design of bug powers with a smidgen of good use. The blows feel like they matter,when toe-to-toe fights are in motion and not massacres that are common in here. Oh yeah there's a lot of gore like a lot...Yeah there's lots of gore. I know I'm stretching this one out but it's my obligation to tell you that first few eps contain some hard core gore and later ones aren't shy from non-human but still pretty gory gore. I might be going mad for giving it this high of a score or I've just been watching all the wrong anime, granted I did watch D. Gray-man: Hallow so that could've caused some breakdown.

Sound.
This is a mixed bag. Sometimes sound effects are damn good and emphasize the scene, as they bloody should, and soundtrack is a bit cheesy but effective. HOWEVER the other side is that punches sometimes sound like they are mining for coal with their hands trough the enemies guts. Opening was pretty hype and I'd take nothing less when this animes only up side is fighting. Here's a 5 now shut up Eva.

Characters
Nope.
Okay there are characters there's also a distinction between them. First eps try to set up some characteristics for it's trio but nah it's a failure. There's some feely touchy at parts tho because of rather unappealing characters it falls flat. There's a German guy named Adolf I adored, there's also one in the anime. He is posted as a tragic character basically having every possible bad thing happen to him. He was just a wee bit engaging that I could say that episode with him fighting was bloody awesome but we'll talk bout it later. There's an annoying bitch and another one and another one and... Well you get a point there's tonna annoying bitches , both male and female we don't discriminate on who deserves to die for their crime of existing. In the end character are a meh but Adolf Hi...Reinhardt boosted the score from 3 to a 4.

Enjoyment
,,ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?'' I hear you say and yes I am. I'm giving this a 7 because of, again, that Adolf guy and his thrilling episodes. Also fighting was pretty enjoyable. The fights are occasionally murky and annoyingly interrupted by flashbacks that,as I said, are pretty unnecessary. I liked the entomology lessons from the show and enjoyed them unironically.
So yeah let's get to the end of this mediocre mess.

Now i want to swiftly wrap this up with few lines cause my lasagna are gettin' cold.
This anime is one of those ,,enjoy the bloodshed,, ones however it even screws that up on occasions meaning it cannot be fully enjoyed with your brain turned off. I personally do like it but it's not something you should watch with high expectations. Actually dig a hole and place your expectations there then you can enjoy this for a murder fest that it is. This anime I cannot give anything but a 4. In truth the average is more of a 4.8. I will not give it a 5 despite it being closer to it because it does not deserve it. Watch this if you've nothin' better to watch or don't watch it at all, you won't miss much.
