Review of Parasyte: The Maxim

Before I begin, let me just say that there are so many things to love about this anime. For starters, the opening theme is absolutely beautiful! A perfect match for the atmosphere of this anime. Plus, the art and character is very well done that I have no argument with it. Continuing, the part which really piqued my interest about this anime is that there is a thorough and easily understandable explanation about the parasitic aliens involved throughout the story. This makes it more interesting to watch because I was able to have an understanding and perception from both worlds, the alien and ours. Plus, asthe parasitic alien "Parasyte" have its own unique personality, it makes the story more memorable rather than just a shoot and kill.

In addition for being a horror anime, I'm really impressed at how they are able to add values and life lessons by linking up with the current events of today such as the destructive nature of us human beings towards everything around us and the ecosystem. Not to mention, there are different atmospheres present throughout the anime making it very mesmerizing.

To summarize, Kiseijuu is an anime that is very well done in many aspects despite the understanding and expectations one would have from a horror anime. Therefore, this is an anime I will surely recommend and also one you will not regret watching.
