Review of Darwin's Game
Note: I have read the manga. Firstly, knowing that this studio had done Rakudishi no Chivalry, I was coming in expecting to be disappointing. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the show. I wish that the fights could have been animated better and the soundtrack wasn't some shitty dubstep at some points, but not everyone can be ufotable. Even in spite of this, there were plenty of hype moments - I particularly liked the ending scene where the OP starts playing. The pacing of the story was acceptable and the fights weren't slideshows. Even if you slightly liked season one, I highly encourage you to watchthe following seasons. The events will be anything but generic. The simple phone game will grow into a much larger plot point. Kaname becomes even more of a bad ass. I've seen a lot of dumpster dive seasonal trash : Rakudishi no Chivalry, Taboo Tattoo, Blade & Soul, and can assure you Darwin's Game is NOT one of them.
