Review of The 8th Son? Are You Kidding Me?

Story: There isn't much to say about the story, mainly because nothing really happens in it. The thing about him being the 8th son really doesn't mean anything throughout the whole anime until the last 2 episodes. For someone to wake up in another world and have the stereotypical super magic and high ability and become super powerful was just plain boring. Art: The monster art and the CG were bad on a lot of levels, they shouldn't have even attempted the CG in this at all because they failed at it. It seemed forced and didn't fit the rest of the art whatsoever. Forthe most part the art was decent enough other than that.

Character: Other than the main character, who was quite boring, there was nearly no development for them and at many points in time seemed like they didn't even need to be there and that they never even mattered. They are shown off to be important but in the long run only one or two of them actually ever did anything, and the one that did the most, for the story Brantag, was never shown off by the show as important.

Overall, I did not enjoy this anime very much, there wasn't much plot to the story, there really wasn't much build-up to the ending and the main character was the typical 'isekai hero' and was boring. I would recommend this anime to someone who doesn't mind all the flaws and very much enjoys every isekai they watch, other than that I wouldn't recommend it to an average or veteran anime fan at all.
