Review of Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I'm Not the Demon Lord

A surprisingly good show. Coming into this show, I had the idea that this was going to be the generic villainess story with the MC being OP and showing up the "Heroes", and while that did happen at first, there are considerable developments that stray away from the formula. And while it's definitely not amazing at it, it dives into the political aspect of being an OP noble by exploring how the different factions of the kingdom seek to gain favour. I also enjoy the MC (The villainess) herself, seeing how she interacts with noble life and how she handles social situations provides decent comedy. Theshow isn't without its flaws. I found the supporting cast weak. Without getting into too much detail, the main love interest is somewhat generic and lacks interest. It also tapers off at the end, the first 5 episodes.

It's definitely no Godfather II, but it's a decent watch if you are bored and crave more Isekai villainess goodness.
