Review of Saekano the Movie: Finale

I have very complex feelings for this movie. I had high expectations because I love both seasons of the TV anime, and honestly, I think I would have preferred a 3rd season over this movie. The animation is very good and what one would expect for a movie production, and there are plenty of Easter eggs for you to spot in various scenes. But I feel that aside from Eriri, all of the other characters aren't given the development and growth they deserve. It's unfortunate that even though Michiru and Izumi get relatively more screen time, their existence isn't very important. There are both scenes meant to beheartwarming and heart-wrenching, but everything gets rushed along due to the time constraints and the impact isn't as strong as one would hope.

It is an ending to the series, but was it the best ending? I personally don't think so.
