Review of The Rising of the Shield Hero

Rising of the Shield Hero is, at least in my interpretation, garbage power fantasy with some disgusting things in it, (i.e. the fact that slavery is portrayed as a positive thing) but the author had a small amount of self-awareness and realized that most people would find it awful, so threw in some ridiculous elements and hid behind the excuse that Shield Hero is satire. I certainly enjoyed watching it though, because I found it hilarious. Some of the most idiotic things I've ever seen in anime have occurred in Shield Hero, some of it is your average deplorable anime degeneracy and some of itthe most non-sensical characters and plot developments that I couldn't help but bursting into laughter. The fact that many people unironically enjoy this anime just made it even funnier.

8/10 in my opinion.
