Aikagi The Animation · review
This hentai is vanilla, while there are some cosplay elements its pretty by the books as far as hentai goes. That being said, you will not have a bad time with this one as it is a one-episode show that doesn't leave you wanting more like that girl you went on a date with, had a great time and never called again. Story : 8 Aikagi follows the relationship between two childhood friends entering college and deciding to live together with some self-aware dialogue concerning how two friends of the opposite sex were allowed to live together. Although the relationship may feel rushed, we must understand theepisode limitations of hentai and how there is barely enough time to build up to character developments. The sex scenes were short in order to accommodate more time for character interaction which I think was important in a show revolving around the lives of the two main characters. Although you do feel a sense of progression and completeness towards the end of the show, it is still very SoL feeling which is good to keep our attachment to the show very surface level considering we will probably not see the characters again
Art : 8
Art in this show is as good as you can have it in a hentai, the male MC's eyes are visible and we can see emotion in his face. Both MCs have a high quality of animation and character design which makes you feel like you're watching an anime which I feel is important in watching hentai as it keeps you in the moment rather than feeling like you're watching something different from what you usually watch. The appeal being that you have the anime ecchi tropes but eventually you get the pay off that is missing in anime ecchi scenes
Sound : 7
I give it a 7 for 'good' however I feel that 7 is an average standard for hentai as to be below this means the quality took a real hit which is not really evident in hentai being produced recently.
Character : 7
There was nothing special about the characters however their relationship development was pretty good for a one-episode story and you could feel that in a world these two people would realistically form this type of relationship as displayed in the show as they are budding young kids coming out of high school. I like how the show touches on the little things that they did in their relationship by introducing cosplay elements or restriction to sex to meet college test requirements which made the relationship less sex-centric as most hentai does and instead more of a real relationship. Both MCs were likeable and the others characters we do see, being their classmates in high school, had very real dialogue which you would hear in an anime keeping me in the moment even though I was fapping to the show.
I enjoyed the show very much, it was not the greatest hentai I've ever fapped to given it's safe approach to the characters however it stood out in quality and characters when it came to vanilla hentai. It stood on its own two feet without any insane tropes or circumstances such as supernatural phone apps or wish granting deities which is a testament to pacing, story telling, character interactions and quality of animation.
As it is a one episode hentai with a completed story arc, I would recommend a one session fap to the entire thing just to get the full enjoyment out of it
