Review of No Game, No Life: Zero

No Game No Life is one of the 3 anime that inspired me to create a Bookwalker account and start reading light novels, so I went into this movie having read all the English translation to the novel it's based on. And from that perspective, the movie felt really rushed. It's faithful to the original story, and has the same quality artwork that helped me fall in love with the anime series, but there are just so many endearing character interactions and world-building events that just didn't make it into the movie at all. I still enjoyed the viewing experience, but itwas somewhat bittersweet. Fans of the anime who haven't read the light novels would probably have an easier time enjoying this movie than I did, but they should also definitely read the light novels after watching this!
