Review of A Lull in the Sea

* spoilers within the review * STORY 10/10 the concept is so interesting. it feels like true folklore and really embraces a homely feeling. the story follows 4 sea children who venture to the land to go to school. along the way they learn love, strengths, and expression. it was a kind story filled with laughter, love, sorrow and joy. it brought the audience on a journey that sure left them with the longing feeling to embrace their loved ones. VISUALS 10/10 beautiful and star star striking. the art within this show feels and resembles a well animated movie. it constantly betters itself and enhances the experience ofwatching the show.

SOUND 9/10
definitely amazing and made me enthralled within their world. the effects of sounds - not only for music - were just as beautify. not to mention the dub voice acting was amazing (watched dub) everything fit perfectly to match the characters and story, the plot and its development.

CHARACTERS 9/10
they all had their purpose. their meaning to advance the plot and help enjoy the story. i just didn't like some of them. for instance, tsugumu - he led me on to believe he was 100% into manaka. and then decided chisaki was more beautiful and loving. i know it did chalk down to the 5 years he spent with her but it felt abrupt. chisaki pissed me off with her much whining she did sometimes. and kaname's entire purpose was a romantic plot advancer. i do believe it was all necessary to the story and it does make sense, but it is just my opinion.

ENJOYMENT 9/10
i loved watching this show. i was hooked from the beginning. everything was so fun and loving and exciting. i binged this show in less than 24 hours. i am not giving it s 10 as it didn't give me the instinctual feeling of AMAZINGNESS that phenomenal shows give me. but it was a really fun ride.

OVERALL 9/10
it was an amazing show and i 100% recommend to anyone who wants to give it a watch
